We at HTB aim to offer a comfortable quiet stay in the heart of the City of Kingston upon Hull. With a mix of rooms from single or twin, through to four bed dormitories – one en-suite, with a six-bed dorm which would suit both individuals or single travellers on a budget. The idea is something for everybody of an independent persuasion. But if you really need a TV in your individual room: have a chat with yourself – and book elsewhere…

Common Room

The common room doubles as the reception area – which hopefully trebles as a coffee and hot drinks area, as well as a nice little place to take an alcoholic beverage for those that are staying with us.  A TV is sited in this room for those in need.  Open during the day too for passers-by, we aim for it to be a nice place to check in, meet up, take a brew, or even rendezvous after a night in Hull’s infamous Old Town Hostelries.

There is a kitchenette at the top of the building on the second floor, offering views out to the Trinity Minster and the rooftops of the city. Though budding master chefs might be disappointed, there you should find all that you’d need to create your own simple offerings if that’s what your plans are. Some simple breakfast items such as cereal, tea and milk usually there – right next to the breakfast honesty box.

We do ask that you try to keep food and drinks to a minimum within bedrooms, but if you must, beware the spillage factor and problems of stains and smells that such problems can create. Multiple occupancy is about respecting others as well as your own space, so please do bear that in mind…

Washing & Cleaning Facilities

Washer and tumble dryer facilities are newly available for a small charge, just ask one of the staff who’ll be happy to help. This might be particularly helpful to cyclists passing through as, we hope, might want to rest their weary legs and keep their machines safe at the same time. But walkers, please don’t take offence – all are welcome!

We hope your stay is a pleasant one with us, but if there is something you think could be improved, please do let us know, so that we can improve things for future stays.

Cycle Storage

We’re unashamedly cycle friendly, and to that end have built a cycle shed to keep the bikes under lock and key (but do please use your own security devices too). Hull’s a great place to discover by bike – it’s as flat as a pancake. Please let us know that you’d be planning to bring some wheels and we’ll endeavour to make some room. In time, limited cycle hire will be available – in fact, in the New Year we take delivery of two new hybrid bikes, so even easier to get around…
